The Pixel Protogen!

The Pixel Protogen is a collaboration between me and a friend of mine - he made the mesh and textures, while I rigged & converted it for use in VRChat!

This is a voxel-style Protogen avatar dubbed the 'Pixel Protogen', containing 56 blendshapes for hand gestures, lipsync and emotions (separated into 'eye expressions' and 'mouth expressions').

Many aspects of the avatar can be toggled & customised, including various puppets to mess around with! Let's go over the features.

Features:

• Blendshape-based lipsync, gestures and expressions (separated into 'eye expressions' and 'mouth expressions' for control);

• 8 unique 'mouth expressions' and 'eye expressions' mapped respectively to your left and right controllers, allowing for 64 unique combinations;

• Left-handed, right-handed and both-handed mode toggles to determine which hand controls your ears' movements;

• Radial puppets to control your tail, ears and eyes;

• Optimised armature rig with individual control of the ear panels, eyes and the ears themselves;

• Full-body tracking ready;

• Dynamic bones on the tail, ears, tongue and eyes, plus colliders on the hands;

• Blendshapes for changing eye size, mouth size, and toggling an additional pair of ears.

• Uses a single material slot for performance;

• Under 3,000 polygons;

• Leftover parameter space for your own customisations;

• The default VRChat emotes;

• VRCSDK3.0 Unity packages (PC & Quest) set-up with all features aforementioned;

• Quest compatibility (as a separate Unity package);

• Ranked 'Medium' performance when using the PC pre-set scene of the Unity package.

There are no Dynamic Bones, SDKs or Poiyomi Shaders included in the Unity Packages - please import these yourself BEFORE you import the Pixel Protogen!

The Unity packages are built using Avatar 3.0 features, please import the 3.0 version of the VRCSDK into your project!

Terms of Service

Upon purchase of this avatar, you may:

• Edit them however you like;

• Create NSFW versions to ONLY be used in private worlds;

• Use the model inside NeosVR, LIV or VRM;

• Upload the avatar as public/cloneable;

• Commission or be commissioned by somebody else, AS LONG AS both of you own this Gumroad package!

However, you CANNOT:

• Resell, redistribute or share the contents of this Gumroad package (even as a gift!);

• Use NSFW alterations in public worlds;

• Remove the credits hidden inside the chest (moving it is fine however, as long as it is legible);

• Sell or share edited versions of the model, whether whole or parts of it (selling/sharing original assets you've made is fine however, think of the Rave Outfit for the Rexouium (https://gumroad.com/l/RexRave))

• Sell 3D prints of the model;

• Upload the model to Second Life;
